Mr. Kwame-Gazo Agbenyadzie
Chairman
Mr. Kwame-Gazo Agbenyadzie is a distinguished Chartered Insurer, holding the title of Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) in the U.K. He is also honored as a Fellow of both the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana, the Actuarial Society of Ghana, and the West African Insurance Institute.
His academic journey includes an Executive MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School, a BSc Hons degree in Statistics and Mathematics from the esteemed University of Ghana, Legon. He furthered his studies with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Science from the City University, London, UK, and a Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management from the West Africa Insurance Institute.
With a wealth of experience spanning over four decades in the insurance sector, Kwame-Gazo's illustrious career culminated in his role as the Chief Executive Officer of Metropolitan Insurance Company, now Hollard Insurance Ghana, where he led until his retirement in 2015. Prior to this, he held various managerial positions with the State Insurance Company.
Beyond his executive roles, Kwame-Gazo has contributed significantly to the industry, having served as a past President of the Ghana Insurers Association. He has also held numerous executive positions on Committees of both local and regional insurance organizations.
Additionally, Kwame-Gazo boasts extensive experience as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of various companies within the financial services industry, including those of insurance regulatory bodies.

Mr. Samuel Kwasi Gyawu

Mr. Samuel Kwasi Gyawu brings an impressive career in Finance, Accounting and Investments spanning over 30 years. He is an expert in Public-Private Partnership arrangements, Fund Management, Project Finance, Project monitoring and evaluation, financial engineering, derivatives, and financial analysis.
Over the years, he has held key positions such as Director of Investment, Director of Finance, Finance Manager, and Principal Finance Officer at Volta River Authority. Prior to these roles, he significantly contributed to organizations like Ghana Tourist Board as Ag. Head of Internal Audit and the Office of the Auditor as an Audit Examiner.
Mr. Twum's expertise also extends to serving as a Member Trustee and Chairman of the Finance Committee for the VRA Staff Occupational Pension Scheme. He has been a Co-opted Resource Person for Boards of VRA Power and Non-Power Subsidiaries, a Management Member of VRA/Staff Groups Joint Negotiation Standing Committee, and a Board Member of Bedrock Insurance Company Ltd. Additionally, he has chaired the Audit and Compliance Committee and the Human Resource Committee, showcasing his multifaceted contribution.
He earned his esteemed MBA in Finance from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, and holds the esteemed title of a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. Committed to continuous growth, he consistently pursues further knowledge through various short courses both locally and internationally, demonstrating his dedication to staying abreast of industry advancements. Actively engaging in local and international workshops and seminars, Mr. Twum remains at the forefront of industry trends and innovations, underlining his proactive approach in shaping various sectors.

Mr. Isaac Kwame Akesseh

Mr. Isaac Akesseh, a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of extensive experience in Financial Management, Taxation, Accounting, and Strategic Management, has held various pivotal roles throughout his career. He has served as a Treasury Manager, Financial Accountant, Chief Accountant, Director of Finance, and Director of Corporate Strategic Planning at both the Volta River Authority and Ghana Grid Company Limited.
Notably, he has excelled as a Tax Policy and Monitoring professional, actively contributing to the restructuring of government taxation and revenue departments into autonomous Services, independent of the Civil Service. His involvement in this transformation included formulating tax policies and providing crucial input for revenue and tax policy considerations in the national budget.
Mr. Akesseh currently operates as a Financial Management Consultant at IKAYE Consult and concurrently serves as an Independent Accountant to the Ministry of Energy, specifically working on Ghana's Cash Waterfall Mechanism as part of the Energy Sector Reform Programme. His expertise and dedication have earned him the title of Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana.

Prof. Kofi Agyekum

Prof. Kofi Agyekum, also known as Opanyin Agyekum, started his education and began teaching at a young age due to his exceptional performance. Despite financial constraints, he pursued further education and eventually earned a first-class degree in Linguistics and Russian from the University of Ghana. He later pursued a Ph.D., focusing on Akan language and culture.
Prof. Agyekum has had a distinguished academic career, serving as a lecturer and later as a full professor at the University of Ghana. He has made significant contributions to the field of linguistics, specializing in Akan language and culture. He is a prolific author, having published numerous journal articles, books, and chapters. He is also actively involved in teaching Akan to both Ghanaian and American students.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Prof. Agyekum has been recognized with awards for his contributions to education and public service. He is married with four children and remains actively engaged in various professional and academic activities, advocating for the appropriate use of language to promote social cohesion and peaceful coexistence within society.
Driven by the goal of empowering informal market participants using the local language, Opanyin Agyekum has actively engaged in organizing and participating in workshops, seminars, as well as radio and television events to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing. Moreover, he has played a vital role in linking listeners of his radio program from the informal sector to financial services and sustainable supply chains, facilitating business growth and improved livelihoods.

Pastor Stephen Egyinam Quarm is a seasoned Pensions Consultant and Marketing Communications Strategist with an extensive track record spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the General Manager of Operations at Aidoo Mensah & Associates Limited, a reputable consulting firm specializing in actuarial, financial, and management consultancy, Stephen has demonstrated expertise and commitment throughout his career.
His career journey has seen him contribute his expertise to prominent organizations such as Tri-Star Actuarial & Management Consultants, Metropolitan Insurance Company (now Hollard), and Cathays Investment Ltd. In these roles, he has honed specializations in vital areas, including the design and drafting of pension plans, providing guidance to Fund Trustees for well-informed investment decisions, and crafting effective marketing strategies.
Stephen excels in creating impactful marketing communication materials, such as product brochures, and developing and implementing education programs. His efforts extend to facilitating seminars that effectively raise awareness among diverse stakeholders. His versatile skill set encompasses over 15 years of hands-on experience in project management, where he has showcased proficiency in project report writing, communications and education material drafting, market research and analysis, feasibility studies, and business plan preparation.
With a passion for imparting knowledge and advocating for well-informed financial decisions, Stephen Egyinam Quarm continues to leave a lasting mark in the realms of pensions consulting and marketing communications strategy.
